Kinoko Pension

Our Pension provides very comfortable and relaxed newly renovated 3.5-4 star accommodation for families, groups and individuals. We have 5 guest rooms (3 twins and 2 triples) accommodating a maximum of 12 guests. The contemporary Japanese building combines Japanese charm with Western facilities and comfort.

Kinoko is conveniently located in central Hirafu Village; immediately on the shuttle bus route and a short walk to lifts, restaurants, bars and all village facilities. Yukoro Onsen is less than a minute's walk away. The aerial photo at the bottom of the page shows the whole of Hirafu village. The red line is the bus route. The green lines are the lifts. Kinoko is highlighted with a blue circle right next to bus stop 5.

Kinoko Pension has a courteousy vehicle for transfers to and from the Hirafu Welcome Center where the busses bring you from the Airport.

Mt Youtei

Kinoko pension offers spectacular views to Mt. Youtei, which looks majestically out from behind snow covered trees. 3 of our guest rooms face Mt Yotei with large windows offering spectacular views.

Mt Youtei is an extinct volcano located South East to the Main ski area of Niseko Hirafu and is a prominent feature of the area. This high, stratovolcano 1,898 meters above sea level looks almost exactly like Mt. Fuji. The 7,000-hectare area around the summit has been designated as a national park, where a number of alpine plants (plants protected by the Japanese government) grow. It ranks ninth among the hundred famous mountains in Japan.

Mt Youtei's top half is covered with snow for about 8-9 months of the year, providing a spectacular backdrop when sliding down the slopes in Niseko. The mountain can be hiked in summer and takes about 6 hours of hard climbing.
